DomesticaRotterdam and Wim Steinmann debuted at the Gergiev Festival in 1997 with Schoenberg's Chamber Symphony. He conducted contain many Gergiev Festivals staged versions of Schoenberg's PierrotLunaireand Stravinsky's Histoire du Soldat.
He also conducted many opera productions. His opera debut was with the Telephone and the Medium of Gian Carlo Menotti. The premiere was at the Rotterdam Theatre followed withmany performances in Dutch theatres.
Donizetti's Le convenienzeetinconvenienzeteatrali - Viva la Mamma also premiered in Rotterdam and there followed a tour with a special performance at the Royal Concertgebouw in Amsterdam.
In 2007/2008 he conducted two world premiere opera productions.
First, "Kwasi and Kwame" The two hearts of KwasiBoachi, after the famous novel by Arthur Japin with music by Jonathan Dove. This production received much attention in the Netherlands for their historical aspect. It was a co production with Opera OT and Domestica Rotterdam There were many performances after the premiere in Rotterdam and a number of performances in the Musical Theater of Amsterdam.
The music theatre production"Rembrandt's Mirror" after an idea and libretto by Peter Greenaway and with music by Vincent van Warmerdam, has not only played in the Netherlands but also in a festival in Budapest [Hungary]
Wim Steinmann was guest conductor of the Limburg Symphony Ochestra and conducted this orchestra in 2004 during the opening concert of the Cultura Nova Festival He was also guest conductor with the Netherlands Symphony Orchestra and the Netherlands Wind Ensemble [NWE]. Steinmann conducted the NWE in many concerts and with a CD recording in London with music of Kevin Volans.[Candos label] He conducted also the Rotterdam Philharmonic Orchestra during several concerts in the series Musical Story.
In 2010 he conducted the music production Le VinHerbé - Tristan and Isolde - Frank Martin during the Rotterdam Opera Days. It was a collaboration of Opera OT and Domestica. This staged show was a Dutch premiere.
Since 2009 Wim Steinmann conducts every year a series of theatrical concerts with Domestica in the famous Laurens church Rotterdam with Renaissance and Baroque music. In 2015, again following the seventh edition of this wonderful and successful series of concerts.
Wim Steinmann is Professor [piccolo / flute] at the Codarts Conservatory in Rotterdam.
began his violin training with Suthin Srinarong at Satit Kaset School. He continued his study with Prof. Choochart Pitaksakorn before moving to the Netherlands to further his study.
Pisoot studied at Rotterdam conservatory in the class of Prof.Olga Martinova, and later became her teaching assistant. Pisoot also studied with leading teachers and musicians in Europe such as Liviu Prunaru, Vesna Gruppman, and Gordan Nikolic among others. He also had participated in master classes with renowned artists such as Yuri Zhislin, Shmuel Ashkenasi, and Alberto Lysy.
Pisoot’s love for chamber music led to his interest in playing the viola. Since then he has played both violin and viola and has been part of many fine chamber music ensembles. With the trainings from musicians such as Henk Guittart, Alexander Petrasch, Zvi Maschkowski, and members of the Koppelman and Jerusalem quartet, Pisoot has won several chamber music prizes in the Netherlands with those ensembles.
Pisoot has been a member of Castilla La Mancha Symphony orchestra in Spain and Ensemble International Béziers Musikè in France, and has been regularly invited to work with Netherlands Philharmonic and Radio Philharmonic. He has given solo and chamber music recitals in the Netherlands, Germany, Belgium, France, Austria, Spain and Italy.
Pisoot is a devoted teacher and has worked with many fine young musicians in Thailand and the Netherlands. His teaching experience includes, his work as an assistant teacher at the Rotterdam conservatory.
