Thailand-Israel Gift of Music Concert

To celebrate 60 years of Diplomatic Relations, this special concert presents a joyous and wonderful mixture of music from the two contrasting cultures, along with favourite popular songs to mark this notable anniversary.

Israeli music stars Keren Hadar (a stunning soprano), Amir Gwirtzman (virtuoso woodwind multi-instrumentalist), and Shalev-Ad El (renowned conductor of Israel’s top chamber orchestra - ‘Netanya-Kibbutz’) will appear alongside famous Thai bass-baritone Kittinant Chinsamran and the Bangkok Symphony Orchestra in this mixture of exciting songs and joyful tunes. Kittinant has achieved widespread popular appeal here as finalist in the TV programme The Voice, and will be joined by the visiting artists to celebrate six decades of friendly ties between Israel and Thailand. Gwirtzman will perform on Armenian traditional instrument the Duduk to add special interest to the concert, and Hadar will further the Israeli theme by singing Jerusalem of Gold. Popular tunes from the world of musicals and opera will include Impossible Dream, sung by Kittinant, whilst His Majesty the King of Thailand’s much loved jazz songs will round off the evening in style.
